Mrs. Harrell was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on September 24, 1931 to the late Emery and Anna L. (Buckner) Haynes.
She had worked in the medical field for Dr. Ross Irons, and Firelands Medical Clinic. Mrs. Harrell also was a story hour volunteer at the Clyde Public Library for many years and a Vine Street school volunteer. Emory was an avid reader and enjoyed antiques.
Her love of baking and cooking helped her be a great entertainer.
Survivors include her daughter, Jacqueline Umerley (Bob) of Broadview Heights, Ohio; and two sons, Dennis Harrell, Fremont and Gregory (Vicki) Harrell, Clyde; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One brother, Paul Haynes, Clyde also survives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Jack" Harrell, whom she married in 1949 and he died in 1997 and a brother, James Haynes.
