He was born December 10, 1923 in York Township to the late Harry and Sarah (Hendricks) Stout.
Clyde graduated from York High School in 1941 and had served his country in the US Army from 1953-1983. He retired from the Army as a major.
He worked as an accountant for New Departure until his retirement in 1989.
He was a lifetime member of the Fremont American Legion and the Clyde VFW. He was also a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge and the Bellevue Eagles.
On September 14, 1947 Clyde married Frances (Barr) Stout and she survives. Also surviving are their three children: Kirk (Holly) Stout of Vickery, Kim Stout of Helena, and Kay (Scott) Smith of Upper Sandusky. Seven grandchildren survive: Cheri Lee Stout, Ashley Robles, Kodie Stout, Stephanie Stout, Stephen Stout, Nicole Smith, and Danielle Smith. His brother, LeRoy Stout of Columbus also survives.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Stout and Carl Stout.
