Gary was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on January 19, 1945. He was a member of the York Chapel. He had been employed at Armstrong Air Conditioning for over 40 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed the local sprint car racings. He also enjoyed deer hunting but foremost, spending time with his precious family.
Surviors include his wife, Carolyn (Kiser) Wright; one son, James G. Wright; and one daughter, Kristie L. (Wright) Gardner (Matthew) and one grandson, Kaden Gardner all residing in Bellevue.
One sister, Edna Fay (RF) Kiser resides in Kona, Ky. There are many nieces and nephews along with a host of friends that also survive.
Preceding Gary in death are his mother, Nellie (Slater) Wright; father, Henry Wright; three brothers, Charles, Chester and Lonnie and sister, Juanita Wright.
During his battle wiwth cancer, Gary would refer to the Bible scripture, Isaiah 53:5..."and with his stripes we are healed. "
