Betty Mae Rogers, 86, of Clyde died at the Bellevue Hospital on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Mrs. Rogers was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 1, 1923. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1941. Betty Mae was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde; the American Legion Auxiliary and the Auxiliary of the LST Association. Together, with her husband, she owned and operated the former Balduf’s Bakery in Clyde. She had worked at the Erie Proving Grounds during WWII; then at Bendix and later Whirlpool Corp and had been a secretary at the Clyde City Hall. On September 15, 1945, she married Ralph D. Rogers and he survives. Also surviving are two grandchildren, James Rogers and Sydney Rogers and one brother, Ronald (Judy) Miller, Fremont. She was preceded in death by their son, Clifford Charles Rogers and her parents, Lester J. and Audra Leota (Kigar) Miller; sister, Alice Faye Paull, and two brothers, Dale William Miller and Reed M. Miller. | |
