Billy K. Leedy, 84, of Clyde died Friday, January 8, 2010 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.



Mr. Leedy was born in Lee County, Virginia, March 7, 1925 to the now deceased Millard W. and Effie (Buell) Leedy.



Bill was a Charter member of Calvary Baptist Church, Clyde where he had served as Deacon for many years and had been a very active member of the congregation.

He had also served as song leader for over twenty years. He was an avid fisherman and had served in the US Army during WWII.



For thirty years, he worked at Ford Motor Co., in Sandusky, retiring in 1982.



Survivors include his wife, Alla Mae (Collins) Leedy, whom he married on March 7, 1945; and their daughters, Carolyn (John) Rhodes, Clyde; and Evelyn (Robert) Webb, Norwalk; four grandchildren,Tanya Kennedy; Thomas Newyear; Aaron Rhodes and Jaimie Grimm and nine great grandchildren. Nine siblings also survive, Margie Long; Vernet Parson; Mary Fortner; Nellie Sue Booso; Delbert Leedy; Ted Leedy; John Leedy; Ben Leedy; and Rufus Leedy. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Sue Leedy and four brothers, Rueben Leedy; Alex Leedy;George Leedy ; and Cecil Leedy; and two sisters; Merita Gentry and Goldie Mae Little.
