David A. Dick, 69, of Clyde, died on Saturday, August 19, 2017,  at the Lewis Stokes Veteran Hospital in Cleveland.

David was born on December 10, 1947 in Clyde to the late Murrell Isadore and Ruth Mae (Thomas) Dick. He attended Clyde Schools and was a Marine Corps veteran of the Viet Nam War, serving from December 1966 until April 1970. During that time, he was the recipient of two purple hearts.

Mr. Dick was a truck driver for 34 years, having worked for several firms during that time. He was a life member of the Clyde VFW and a former member of the Clyde Eagles.

On May 25, 2002, he married the former Renee' Andrews . She survives, along with six children, David Lee (Chris) Dick of Parma Heights; Lynn (Ron) Bucklew of Clyde; Mark Dick of Mansfield; Sara (Joseph) Hoover of East Canton; Buffy (Rudy) Sepeda of Clyde and Shannon Wilburn of Lewisville, Ohio. Step children Christopher Renfro of Spruce Pine, NC and Jennifer Renfro of Burnsville, NC, also survive. A sister, Joyce Davis of Sandusky, as well as two brothers, Larry (Bonnie) Dick of Clyde and Tom (Juanita) Thoss of Clyde survive.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Dick in 2001. and infant daughter, Tammy and siblings, Phyllis Cox; Margie Lippert; Richard Dick; Ronnie Dick; and Lois Bonnell.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Military graveside services will be provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion.
