David A. Rohrbacher, 64, died at his home on April 24, 2017 after a four year quiet and brave fight with cancer.
 
He was born November 12, 1952 to Chester and Norma Jean (Hoffman) Rohrbacher.
 
He will be missed beyond words by his loving family.
 
He worked at Rohrbacher Brothers before having a career in the Ohio Army National Guard that spanned over 40 years, which he enjoyed and felt fortunate to be associated. He achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 5 and spent one tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
 
Dave spent his retirement helping out his family with anything that would benefit them in the future.
 
Dave was a 1971 graduate of Margaretta High School.
 
The family is thankful for all the prayers extended to them from additional family, friends and neighbors. Also Dave’s family is deeply grateful for the constant help of the entire team at the Dana Cancer Center and Promedica Hospice in the last few days.
 
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan (Holmer) Rohrbacher of Bellevue; their four children, Cheryl Gillispie; Kenneth, Jen and Justin (Amanda) Rohrbacher; six grandchildren, his mother, Norma Jean; brother, Daniel (Kathy) Rohrbacher; and two sisters, Diana (Carl) Krawetzki and Donna Ash. His mother-in-law, Marian Holmer survives in Bellevue. 
 
Dave was preceded in death by his father, father –in-law, brother-in-law and grandparents.
 
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 4-7:00 pm at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, Ohio. The funeral will be on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia with Rev. Kathleen Suggitt officiating. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery with military rites.
 
Memorials may be made to Dana Cancer Center.
