Evelyn Emmaline Rife, 100, of Clyde, died at the Bethesda Care Center, Fremont on Friday, November 10, 2017.

Evelyn was born on August 23, 1917 in Green Creek Township to William and Bertha (Gould) Trusdle. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Clyde. She was a member of the Farm Women's Club and had been involved in 4-H. For many years she had decorated cakes, include wedding cakes. She was a gifted seamstress, sewing and upholstery were two of the gifted areas.

Mrs. Rife had worked at York School, then Bellevue School in the cafeteria.

On July 19, 1939, she married Harold Rife. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1958.

Survivors include their children, Norman (Patricia) Rife of Clyde; Linda  (Denny) Moore of Richmond, Indiana and Willard (Constance) Rife of Fremont. Nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive. Several nieces and nephews survive as well.

Mrs. Rife was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Trusdle and Roy Trusdle.

Visitation will be on Wednesday ,November 15, 2017 from 3-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Thursday, November 16,2017 at 10:30 AM  at the funeral home with Pastor Rose Jones officiating. Burial will be in Ellsworth Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Boniface School, Oak Harbor; the Clyde or Townsend Fire Departments; Promedica Hospice.
