Harold R. Nottke, 94, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Stein Hospice Care in Sandusky.
He was born July 30, 1923 in Bellevue to Otto and Anna (Boyer) Nottke. He was a member of Lyme Congregational United Church of Christ, where he was a lifelong trustee. He also was a member of the American Legion in Bellevue and a former member of the Bellevue Elks Lodge. He enjoyed watching sports games and fixing things.
Mr. Nottke graduated from Bellevue High School in 1943 and served our country in the US Air Force during WWII. For 39 years, he worked at GE as head electrician.
He is survived by his love of 69 years, Lois (Hager) Nottke; son, Mike (Amy) Nottke of Bellevue; daughter-in-law, Deb Nottke of Bellevue, grandchildren: David Nottke, Tim (Katrina) Nottke, Mark Nottke, Ryan (Bonnie) Nottke, Andrea (Ryan) Hieber, Justin Nottke, Rebecca (Terrence) Carr, Vanessa Daley; great-grandchildren: Savannah Nottke, Hunter Nottke, Jack Hieber, Wesley Carr, Brantley Carr, Brady Daley; sister-in-law, Jane Nottke of Norwalk; and nieces and nephews.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Larry Nottke; and his brother, Chuck Nottke.
Visitation will be 2-6:00pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue. His funeral service will be 11:00am Monday, Nov. 27 at Lyme Congregational UCC, 5451 St. Rt. 113, Bellevue. Rev. Martin Stiffler will officiate and burial will follow in Strongs Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Harold's name may be given to Lyme Congregational UCC, PO Box 103, Bellevue or Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky.
