Isabell M. Koch, 94, of Bellevue, died at the Bellevue Hospital on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
Isabell was born in Bellevue on October 12, 1923 to the now deceased Emil, Sr. and Catherine (Wiegand) Meyer. She was a member of the 1942 graduating class of Bellevue High School.
Mrs. Koch was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue. She enjoyed playing cards and working cross word puzzles. When she was younger, she liked the sun and beach.
She had worked at Akron Candy in the office, Industrial Savings and Loan; and Central Soya. But when asked, Mrs. Koch would say she was a homemaker. Family was her life and love.
On May 18, 1947, she married Edward Koch, Jr. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2005.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn (Jon) Schaefer of Shelby; two sons, Stephen (Sandy) Koch of Monroeville and Mark (Madeline) Koch of Michigan. Six grandchildren, Christopher (Natalie) Koch; Cody (Bethany) Koch; Corbin (Kelly) Koch; Matthew (Jennifer) Schaefer; Heather (Scott) Bowden and Hannah Koch, and twelve great grandchildren, McKensey and Mason Koch; Layla, Wyatt and Lacey Koch; Casyn, Karsyn and Kensingtyn Koch; Claire, Charlotte and Carter Bowden and Braden Dorsey also survive.
Mrs. Koch was the last of her family, Edward, Albert; Clarence, Carl, Harold and Emil, Jr. Meyer and Elizabeth Martin; Irene Johnson; Florence Kahler and Josephine Waddington are all deceased. A great grandson, Toby also preceded her.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 10:00 am until the service at noon, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St., Bellevue, Ohio. The Rev. Scott Mauch and Rev. Ron Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue City Cemetery.
