Jacob "Jack" Stape Obituary
Jacob "Jack" Stape, 70, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Jack was born May 18, 1947 in Bellevue to Robert J. and Clara G. (Provenzale) Stape. He graduated from Thompson High School and then served our country in the US Army. Jack was a great craftsman and was a self-employed carpenter.
On April 20, 2007 he married Betsy (Smith) Stape and she survives in Bellevue. Also surviving are Betsy's children: Jessica Woolf Riedy of Norwalk and Stephen Williams of California; and grandchildren: Drake, Scarlett, Yvonne, and Antonio; and Jack's sisters: Rita Keller and Roberta Henderson; sister-in-law, Denise Stape; nieces: Donna, Denene, Nicole; and nephews: Billy and Jamie.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Stape.
Visitation will be 1:00-3:00pm Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Auxter Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue. Graveside services will be 11:00am Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Bellevue City Cemetery.
