James E. “Bucket” Waterfield, 82, of Clyde, died at The Willows of Bellevue on Friday, April 14, 2017. 
 
Mr. Waterfield was born in Sandusky on August 17, 1934. He was a 1953 graduate of York High School.
 
Jim was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Whirlpool Corp in Clyde from 1963-1999.
 
He was a member of the Clyde VFW. He enjoyed sporting events and walking. Anything his children, or especially his grandchildren were involved in was very important to him.
 
“Bucket” was truly a people person, making friends everywhere he went.
 
On March 7, 1959, he married Nina M. Spraw. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2013. Their daughter, Lori A. Charles, also preceded him on January 9, 2015.
 
Survivors include three sons, Scott (Kimberly) Waterfield of Bellevue; James (Michele) Waterfield of Fremont and Douglas (Jackie) Waterfield of Clyde. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, along with his sister, Judy (Robert) Rhineberger of Clyde also survive.
 
His mother, Hazel (Steeler) Domka, his stepfather, Ted Domka and sister, Shirley Larkins preceded him in death.
 
Visitation will be on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde, Ohio. The military graveside services, provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion will be at 1:30 PM at McPherson Cemetery.
After the graveside service, all family and friends are invited the the Clyde VFW for Bucket’s Celebration of Life, wearing your favorite sport attire.
