Jane Ann Meggitt, 90, of Clyde, died at her home on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
 
Jane was born in Kokomo , Indiana on April 25, 1927. At a young age, her family moved to the area.
 
Mrs. Meggitt was a 1945 graduate of Bellevue High School.
 
On February 17, 1945, she married Roy Alton Meggitt. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1986.
 
She was a member of the Clyde VFW. After her husband became ill, Jane worked at the former Steinbauer Farm Market and Hogue’s.
 
Mrs. Meggitt was an avid supporter of all sport activity, especially, those that included her grandchildren. She attended them in every season.
 
Survivors include sons, Neil (Nancy) Meggitt of Bellevue; Mark (Roberta) Meggitt of Clyde; Bruce (Becky) Meggitt of Green Springs; two daughters, Sandra (Gary) Hartzel of Put-in-Bay and Roylene (Barry) Minix of Alabama. Twenty two grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, along with two sisters, Cecilia Stockmaster of New Washington and Katherine Acerino of Raleigh, NC also survive.
 
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Pauline (Wahl) Timmons;  two sons, Roy Kent Meggitt and Wayne Meggitt; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her siblings, Mike Timmons; Gary Timmons, Kent Timmons; Patricia Elmer, Christine Roland, Paula Christopher, Nancy Timmons and Ginger Timmons are deceased as well. 
 
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 3-7:00 pm at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:30 Am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
