It is Thanksgiving Day and I am thinking of my special friend, Jodie. I miss her so much. I know everyone does too. I just feel a little numb today knowing that I can't hear her sweet voice or give and receive her hugs. We can't laugh in school together and connect as moms, wives, and as woman in general I miss her variety of facial expressions. I miss the indescribable joy she brought with her wherever she went. I wish I could give her more compliments, and expressions of support, and tell her face to face what a difference she made and still makes in my life. I will forever be blessed to have known Jodie.

I met Jodie while working here at Clyde Elementary School. We started talking and immediately I knew we would be friends. No matter what was going on, happy or tough, Jodie and I would find something to laugh about. She understood that teaching is not easy but so worthwhile, that the kids are so "energetic" and lovable. She was that rare person that you couldn't wait to talk with, and always felt better after your talk. I appreciated her beautiful smile, kindness and sense of humor. My students always loved having her as their sub. I loved Jodie so much and will miss her dearly. I wish the family love and support at this sad time and in the days to follow.
