Lynette A. Spitler, 85, formerly of Clyde, died on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Elmwood Skilled Nursing in Fremont.
Lynette was born in Sandusky County on March 18, 1932 to Elijah Joseph and Grace Hazel (Snavely) Soule. She was a member of the 1950 graduating class from Fremont Ross High School.
Mrs. Spitler enjoyed crafts, camping, traveling and especially her grandchildren.
On November 14, 1952, she married George Spitler. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2010.
Survivors include two sons, Richard (Karen) Spitler of Mitchellville, Iowa and Joseph (Betty) Spitler of Clyde and one daughter, Janet (Mark) Sultz of Fremont. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Roger Spitler; Benjamin Spitler; Nicole Drown; Nathan Spitler; Heather Staven; Jeremy Forsythe; Koree Stokes and Timothy Forsythe.Two step grandchildren, Chad Sultz and Cory Sultz, along with one sister Donna Aspden of Fremont survive as well.
Mrs. Spitler was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Scott Forsythe and siblings, Mabel Hunt; Hazel Moyer; Luella Englar; Esther Beier; James Soule, Charles Soule; Betty Roth and two infant sisters, Beulah and Mary Soule.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 10:00 am until the service at noon at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Burial will be in Green Springs Cemetery.
