Sharon R. (Mosier) Nearhood

Sharon R. Nearhood, 74, of Clyde, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at The University of Toledo Medical Center.

Sharon was born on May 10, 1943 in Fremont to Clarence and Frances Louise (Kiser) Mosier. She was a 1961 graduate of Clyde High School.

Following graduation, she graduated from the former, Ohio State Beauty School. She had worked at H&R Block, along with various other companies, but was first and foremost a mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Nearhood was a member of Grace Community Church, Fremont, where he had formerly been head of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She was a member of Nifty Knitter in Clyde. Also for many years she worked on the election board, serving as a precinct  worker.

On December 6, 1963, she married Gary L. Nearhood. He survives, along with their two children, Gary, Jr. (Rebecca) Nearhood of Clyde and Laurie Montgomery of Bellevue. Three granddaughters, Caitlin Nearhood, Andrea Nearhood, and Justine Brown and two great grandchildren, Merrina and Curran, survives as well. Four sisters,  Jeannie Mosier of Helena, Judy (Harold "Skip") Reynolds of Orrville, CA; Sandra Nearhood of Clyde; Linda (Frank) Roope of Clyde and one brother, Dennis (Cindy) Mosier of Clyde.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lynn Pankhurst and Patricia Balduf and brother, Charles Mosier. Two infant siblings preceded her as well.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Grace Community Church, Smith Road, Fremont.
