Terry Alan Noftz, 63, of Clyde, died at his home as a result of a very brief illness on Friday, October 20, 2017.

Terry was born in Fremont on February 6, 1954 to Robert L. and Mona (Grimm) Noftz. He attended Clyde Schools and had worked at Precision Body and Frame prior to his illness.

On August 13, 1988, he married Gayle Wott. She survives, along with children, Jennifer Cooper, Bellevue; Angela (Michael) Hoerig, of Clyde; Dan (Candi) Noftz of Fremont and Thomas Noftz of Clyde. Twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren are surviving. His brothers and sisters, Carol Sue (John) Rovder of Castalia; Joanne (Bill) Norman of Bellevue; Bob Noftz of Clyde; Roger (Peggy) Noftz of Florida; Dee Pena of Fremont and Scott (Suzi) Noftz of Clyde also survive.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The graveside service will be held at McPherson Cemetery on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at noon.

Before his death, family and friends had planned a benefit for Terry at the Clyde Eagles on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from Noon until 5:00 pm. This could now be a time of sharing as well.
