William D. Buchanan, 86, of Bellevue, died at the Bellevue Hospital on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
 
Mr. Buchanan was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 11, 1930 to the now deceased Clyde and Caddy Marie (Jenkins) Buchanan.
 
He retired in 1992 from the Norfolk Railroad working in communications.
 
Bill was a veteran of the US Navy.
 
On April 5, 1958, he married Joyce Elaine Williams. She survives, along with their four sons, Jeffery (Brenda) Buchanan of Bellevue; William (Julie) Buchanan of Norwalk; James (Tammy) Buchanan of Bellevue and Arthur Buchanan of Sandusky. Also eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a sister, Leora L. Coles of Sandusky survive.
 
Mr. Buchanan was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Dale Buchanan and sister Wanda Lou Graffice.
 
Private services will be held, with military rites at Bellevue Cemetery.
