Maralyn R. (Higman) Armentrout

Maralyn Rose Armentrout, 92, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6th, 2024. She was born in Pickaway County, Ohio on September 13th, 1931 to Una (Brooks) and Charles Higman. Maralyn was a 1949 graduate of Atlanta High School, and married the love of her life, Sgt. Jack Scott Armentrout, on June 22nd, 1957, who proceeded her in death on September 11th, 1989.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved listening to the radio on Friday nights to hear the Fremont Ross Little Giants football team and marching band play, while also enjoying reading, jigsaw puzzles, board games, and being a great cook for her family.

Maralyn is survived by her daughters Peggy Sue (Dan) Downing of Fremont, OH, Rebecca Ann (Jamison) Price of Mt. Vernon, OH. Granddaughters Jessica and Aliza Armentrout, Asia (Jose) Rodriguez, great-grandson Vivan Arnold-Armentrout, and great-granddaughters Santana and Samara Rodriguez, all of Fremont, as well as brother Harlan Higman of Placerville, CA.

Maralyn is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Jack, and son John Wayne Armentrout.

 Private family services will be held on Wednesday April 10th, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde, Ohio, with burial to follow at New Holland Cemetery in New Holland, Ohio, with Rev. Jason Sharp officiating.
