Alohoea M. Lowrey, 71, of Bellevue, died Thursday, May 2, 2019 at her home.
She was born July 19, 1947 in Tiffin to Maurice and Anna R. (Meisner) Lenhart. She graduated from Bellevue High School and had worked in the cafeteria for the Bellevue Schools until her retirement.
Alohoea was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue, where she served as a reader and on the altar committee. She enjoyed volunteering at the Bellevue Hospital and the Mad River Railroad Museum. She was also a member of the Red Hats Club.
On May 11, 1968 she married Thomas R. Lowrey and he survives. Also surviving are their daughters Missie Lowrey (Donnie Huntley) of Huron and Tania Lowrey Sackett (Mike) of Wesley Chapel, Florida; grandchildren: Jenna & Haley Burrier and Norah & Elijah Sackett.
In addition to her parents, Alohoea was preceded in death by her brother, Karl Lenhart and an infant brother, Leroy Lenhart.
Visitation will be 4-7:00pm Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Auxter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue. Her funeral service will be 10:30am Tuesday, May 7 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St, Bellevue with Rev. Mark Bogen officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John’s Christian Preschool or Mad River Railroad Museum.
