August Harold Keegan, 78, of Bellevue, died Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home,

He was born August 25, 1938 in York Township to Harold D. and Pauline K. (Christman) Keegan.  He graduated from York High School and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue.  He had retired from farming and driving bus for Bellevue City Schools.  Aug loved farming, raising animals, and going to county fairs, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children: Joy K. (Edward) Warner and August C. (Kelly) Keegan, all of Bellevue; his sister, Emma K. Wagner of Bellevue; grandchildren: Christina Warner, Mindy Warner, Sara Warner, Charles Warner, Bridget (Mark) Strecker, Seth (Harleigh Norman) Keegan, Devon Keegan; step-grandchildren: Janisha (Todd) Buck, Jessica (D.J.) Eidson, Jacob Reau, Zachary Reau, Kade Chumley; six great-grandchildren; and extended family: Belinda (Kevin) Ommert of Huron; John (Connie) Miller of Norwalk; Kim Prentice of Clyde; Duane (Lorie) Miller of Norwalk; Troy (Loriann) Green of New London.

Visitation will be 4-8:00pm Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue.  Private family burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice or Bellevue FFA.
