Chong Ae Chong, 82, of Clyde, passed away unexpectedly while surrounded by her family on February 10th of 2019.
Chong was born in South Korea, to Dea Bong Pak and Shin Ae Shin. She came to the United States in 1973, and later earned her citizenship.
She was a founding member of the Handol Korean Methodist church in Sandusky. Chong was dedicated to her bible studies, fellowship, and serving her community. Her devotion to serving the church has lead her to build many lifelong friendships.
For over 20 years, Chong worked at the former Dixon Ticonderoga where she later retired. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, taking walks, tending to her garden, and reading her bible. In her everyday activities, she found happiness in feeding the birds and caring for her plants.
