Christopher Lee Earhart

Christopher Lee Earhart, Ret.PO1, 47 of Clyde, died unexpectedly at Firelands Regional Medical Center on Thursday, November 28,2019.

Chris was born in Bellevue, Ohio on November 23, 1972 to Lionel and Susan Ritter Earhart. He was a member of the 1991 Clyde High School graduating class.

He was In the United States Navy for 20 years, 1991-2011. Following his retirement, he was working for Praxair Service , Inc. in Sandusky as a field supervisor.

On April 14, 1992, he married Jacqueline S. Rathburn. She, along with their daughter, Amber Earhart (Jason Smith) of Sandusky survive. His mother and father, Susan and Tom Leber of Clyde; Lionel Earhart of Port Clinton; siblings, Wendy (Jerry) Woodland; Amy Holmes (Mike Golembiowski) all of Clyde Erik (Stephanie) Leber of Ostrander, Ohio; Bryan (Skye) Leber of Naples, Florida and Elizabeth (Brad) Thieroff of Colorado Springs. Nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 3-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral, with Pastor Tim Wisehart officiating, will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Military honors will follow at the grave at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
