Donna J. (Bishop) Yates

Donna J. Yates, 68, of Clyde, died at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont, on Saturday, January 4, 2020 following an illness.

Donna was born in Sandusky on August 5, 1951 to the now deceased Henry and Jean (Andres) Bishop.. She attended school in Norwalk and Bellevue.

Mrs. Yates was a lifetime member of the Clyde VFW, an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and Bingo. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and being their NANA. She was a wonderful baker and shopper.

She had been employed at Evergreen in Clyde, prior to her illness.

On February 15, 1986, she married Ronald Yates. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2018.

Survivors include children, Jarrod (Tammy) Leal of Greenfield, Indiana; Jose(Beth) Leal, Victoriana (Craig) Wismer all of Clyde; Christopher (Jen) Yates, Donna Yates all of Kentucky; Ronald (Tabitha) Yates of Oregon state and Samantha (Terry) Glick of Tiffin. Twenty nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Seven siblings survive, Ruth (Cecil) Burger of Norwalk; Don Bishop of Florida; Mike Bishop of Republic; Chuck Bishop of New Orleans; Dennis Bishop of Sandusky; Tommy Bishop of Norwalk and Ricky (Michelle) Bishop of Fremont. Numerous nieces and nephews survive, too.

Donna was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jose Leal, Jr. and Baby Jarrod Leal, al well as siblings, Joe Bishop; Judy Bishop and Theresa Codeluppi. Her niece Summer Bishop preceded her in death.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde. Burial will be at 1;30 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.

Memorials may be made to Relay for Life or Promedica Hospice.
