Eleanor Louise (Gould) Foulk Orndorff, 103, of Clyde died on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at The Gardens of Clyde Assisted Living.

Eleanor was born on August 5, 1914 in Toledo, Ohio to Edward and Anna (Yohn) Gould.

She graduated from Libby High School in 1932.

Eleanor married Edgar E. Foulk on June 17, 1939 in Toledo, he preceded her in death on December 31, 1982. On February 11, 1989, she married John Orndorff, he preceded her on November 16, 1997.

Mrs. Orndorff was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school for 42 years and had been a member of the Women's Organization since 1939. She had served as the leader of the Jr. Mission Band and leader of Vacation Bible School for many years, as well as leading the Luther League. She led a Camp Fire Group of girls from grade school through high school.

In 1982  she was elected treasurer of the Clyde Heritage League of which she was a charter member. Mrs. Orndorff held that office until 2000, and received the Book of Golden Deeds from the Clyde Exchange Club. She also was a member of the 20th Century Literary Club for fifty years and the Clyde Garden Club since 1950. Eleanor liked to be involved in community work, sew, crochet, garden and read.

Eleanor was a member of a group that was instrumental in brining a family from Laos to Clyde. The Yang family lived in Clyde many years and after moving to Detroit, kept in touch with her.

Her hobby of genealogy started in 1932and continued, establishing that   family members were able to join the Mayflower Society.

Survivors include her two daughter, Kathryn Rosen of Clyde and Marilynn (Joe) Nilsen of Crossville, Tennessee. Six grandchildren, Lewis, Jr and Rick Rosen, Becky Houses; Tanya, Mark and Paul Foster, also, 12 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Twelve step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Lewis Rosen, Sr. and Gary Foster. Her siblings, Marjorie Buck; Hazel Harlow and Edward Gould are deceased.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 10:00 am until the service at noon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Forest St., Clyde. The Rev. Roger Miller will officiate. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Promedica Hospice.
