Ellen M. Good

Ellen M. Good, 91, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 21, 1927 in Bellevue to Raymond C. & Bernice (Matz) Walters.  Ellen graduated from Thompson High School in 1945. Her first job was at the Union Bank in Bellevue.  She later worked as the bookkeeper at Doebel's Flowers in Clyde.  Her life-long profession was a farmer's wife, mother, and homemaker.  She loved sewing of any kind - clothing, blankets, quilts, cross stitch. She loved sewing and donating blankets to charitable organizations, and volunteering at area hospitals, at church and with 4-H.

On June 5, 1948 she married Robert Stanley Good.  He preceded her in death on April 12, 1992.

She is survived by her children: Bev (Alan) Vicstein of Beaver Island, Michigan; Sue (Bill) Dendinger of Bellevue; Julie (Ken) Flesher of Milan; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Good of Bellevue; sisters-in-law, Ellen Good of Texas and Carolyn Bahnsen of West Virginia; grandchildren: Eric (Georgia) McQuistion; Cory (Charity) McQuistion; Kelly (Adam) McQuistion-Warfel; Johrdan Vicstein; Brian (Laurie) Good; Brad (Callie) Good; Brandon (Renee) Good; Jeremy (Katelyn) Dendinger; Jason Dendinger; Ashley (Tully) Ulmer; Kristi Flesher; Abby Flesher; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Good was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; her son, John Good on March 10, 2002; and her brothers, Herbert and Louis Walters.

Visitation will be 1-2 pm Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Zion United Church of Christ, 13525 Twp. Rd. 178, Fireside.  Her funeral service will follow at 2 pm at the church with Rev. Nicole Pickens officiating.  Burial will be in the Zion Parish Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
