Frances M. Falter, 95, of Bellevue, died at The Willows on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
Mrs. Falter was born in Sandusky on March 26, 1922 to Anthony and Olivia (Nesselhoff) Kromer. She was a 1940 graduate of Margaretta High School.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue, where, when she was able, volunteered at the school cafeteria and read to students at the school. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and reading. Her greatest love was for her family.
For several years, she worked in the catalogue department of the former Bellevue JC Penney Co.
On April 17, 1948, she married Raymond Falter. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1986.
Survivors include her children, Sylvia (Tim) McAdams of Mentor; Charles (Linda) Falter of Roanoke, Indiana; John (Gail) Falter of Clyde and James (Brenda) Falter of Statesville, N.C. Ten grandchildren, Stephen; Elizabeth; Meghan; Melanie; Abby; PJ; Thomas; Bethany; Hanna and David. Five great grandchildren, Landon; Travis; Robert; Ethan and Una also survive. One sister, Agnes (Paul) Fitz of Sandusky survives as well.
Mrs. Falter was preceded in death by her parents, twin great grandsons, Isaiah and Jackson, and siblings, Cyril Kromer; Rose Long; Ruth Kramer; Leo Kromer; Richard Kromer; Anthony Kromer, Lucille Silliman; Jerome Kromer and Alyce Jensen.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:45 AM at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, Ohio. The funeral mass will be at noon on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue with Rev. Jonathan Wight officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Bellevue.
Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception School or Stein Hospice.
