Gerald Gnepper Obituary

Gerald William Gnepper, 81, of Fremont, died at Countryside Manor in Fremont on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

Mr. Gnepper attended Clyde schools, then graduated in 1955 from Fremont Ross.

He worked at Whirlpool Corp in maintance for 37 years. He retired in 2003.

Gerald like to garden. He was known for his vegetables and strawberries. Being outdoors was his favorite place.

On August 28, 1959, he married KayAnn Yontz. She survives, along with their three children, William (Janet) Gnepper of Bellevue; Laura (Jamie) Birkholz of Clyde and Kevin (Marisa) Gnepper of Clyde. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, along with two sisters, Roberta Kellog and Esther Hartley survive.

Mr. Gnepper was preceded in death by his twin brother, James Gnepper, two brothers, Charles and Robert Gnepper and three sisters, Nina Fleming, Mildred Mesnard and Kathleen Giffen.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 3-5:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
