James B. Combs, 55, surrounded by family, died at the Stein Hospice in Sandusky on Monday, January 7, 2019.
Jim was born in Bellevue, Ohio on April 13, 1963 to Willie and Freda (Collins) Combs. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1981.
Since 1983, he worked for the Whirlpool Corp in Clyde, most recently as a front line leader.
Jim enjoyed all things outdoors, hunting, fishing, golf and lately bicycling. His greatest love and joy was his family.
On November 23, 1985, he married Jacqueline Ochs. She, along with their children, Jessica (Aric) Rosenberger of Dayton, Jacob Combs of Austintown and Jared Combs, now serving with the United States Air Force survive. His parents, Willie and Freda Combs survive in Clyde. His five brothers, Paul Bramel of Tiffin; Jerry (JoAnne) Collins of Port Clinton; Brion (Teresa) Combs of Clyde; Roger (Anna) Combs of Clyde and Dustin (Kimberly) Combs of Texas survive as well. Jackie's parents, Donald and Leah (Hawk) Ochs of Fremont, and her siblings and their spouses also survive. Several nieces and nephews are also surviving.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 1-6:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice in Sandusky or Back to the Wild in Castalia.
