Janet Hendricks, 84, of Clyde, died at The Willows of Bellevue on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

Janet was born in Clyde on July 28, 1933 to John H. and Hazel (Riedell) Sanford.

Mrs. Hendricks was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde as well as the former Housekeeping Circle at the church.

She was an avid gardener, canning almost everything she raised. Her family was especially important to her, with all family and friends enjoying her wonderful baked goods. Mrs. Hendricks had a soft spot for all animals, feeding, caring and raising what ever animal that she could. Her "sit down" time was spent knitting.

Janet was a beautician by trade, but a farmer at heart, helping her husband on their family farm.

On October 26, 1952, she married Gerald F. Hendricks. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2011.

Survivors include her son, Robert (Laurie) Hendricks of Clyde and daughter, Susan (Bobby) Morrison of Port Clinton. Four grandchildren, Eric Williams; Amie Storey; Brian Hendricks and Kelli Hendricks. Four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive. Her sister, Betty Bell survives in Clyde.

In addition to her husband, her parents and brothers, Richard Sanford and William Sanford are deceased.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 4-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
