Janet Lee Noftz, 76, of Clyde, died at Stein Hospice, Sandusky on Sunday, February 26, 2017.
Janet was born on Duane Street in Clyde on February 8, 1941 to Arthur L. and Gladys (Weishar) Simco. She was a member of the 1959 graduating class of Clyde High School.
Mrs. Noftz was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clyde, a lifetime member of the Clyde VFW Auxiliary and the Clyde Moose.
She had worked at various manufacturing plants, including Dayton Marine; Hueter Toledo in Bellevue; Woodall Inowac, Fremont, Ohio.
On September 16, 1959, she married Richard L. Noftz. He, along with their children, Richard D. “Rick” Noftz of Newark; Randall (Debbie) Noftz of Newark and Vickie Perske of Clyde survive. Also nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and one sister, Catherine Dayringer of Whitehouse
survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 5-8:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:30 am at The First United Methodist Church, Clyde with Rev. Sheryl Seitz officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s or Stein Hospice.
