Jean (Wolfe) Waugh

Jean Waugh, 92, of Clyde, died at her home on Sunday, May 19, 2019.

Jean was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on December 1, 1926 to the now deceased Henry and Olive (Lott) Wolfe. She was a 1944 graduated of Punxy High School.

Mrs. Waugh was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she had volunteered in the former school and the church for over forty years. She was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

On December 14, 1947, she married Henry Waugh. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1999.

Five children survive, Henry (Mary) Waugh of Clyde; James Waugh of Titusville, Pa; Daniel (Patti) Waugh, Barbara Waugh and Richard Waugh all of Clyde. Eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren survive as well.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Waugh, her granddaughter, Traci and two sisters, Wilma Jones and Anna Lou Blose.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 3-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde. Christian Wake service will be at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. The mass will be on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
