Jerry A. Fields, 70, of Clyde, died at his home on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
Jerry was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 11, 1947 to Earl and Arzilla (Watson) Fields.
He was a graduate of Clyde High School and service in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. He had worked as an electrician at Kelsey Hayes, prior to its closing.
Mr. Fields was a member of the Fremont VFW. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, having been able to travel to 49 of the United States on his cycle.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Barb (McKinney) Fields on October 23, 2005.
Survivors include his two daughters, Tonya Fields (Jeff Blausey) of Fremont and Terra (Bryan) Kern of Clyde. Eight grandchildren, Knickalaus Lippert, Christopher Lippert; Braelynn Johnson, Kaylee Kern, Mason Johnson, Jacob Kern, Quinnela Kern and Dexter Kern. Also surviving is his sister, Donna (Dexter) Blankenship of Rock Hill, South Carolina, along with two brothers, Earl (Kresha) Fields of Friendsville, Tennessee and Lonnie "Joe" (Allison) Fields of Fremont. His longtime best friend , Cliff Moore of Clyde, survives as well.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from Noon until the service at 1:30 PM at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde with military rites.
