Lennard H. Dodge, 88, of Erie County, Ohio died at Meadows at Osborne Park, Sandusky on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
Lennard was born on Middle Bass Island on April 3, 1930 to Harold and Ruth (Girardin) Dodge. He attended school there.
During WWII, he worked at the Erie Ordinance Depo. For 31 years, Lennard worked at NASA, retiring in 1981.
Mr. Dodge served in the US Army from 1951-1953.
On June 27, 1954, he married Juanita Grunden. She preceded him in death on August 14, 1991.
Surviving are two daughters, Louann Fahrney and Debbie (Bill) Papenfuss all of Sandusky. Three grandchildren; Dawn Michel, Denise Booth, and Kevin Fahrney, and four great grandchildren; Elizabeth Michel, Connor Michel, Addison Booth, and Lillyanna Michel also survive. His special companion, Betty Melton survives in Sandusky.
Mr. Dodge was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gerald "Jerry" Dodge and Harvey Dodge and sisters, Jean Fatiga and Naomi Swisher.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Burial, with military honors will be at Parkhurst Cemetery.
