Marlene (Ruess) Schwartz

Marlene Schwartz, 83, previously of Bellevue, Florida, and Texas, most recently of Penson, Tennessee died at her home on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.  

Mrs. Schwartz was born in Bellevue, Ohio on January 4, 1936 to Raymond and Marguerite (Boehler) Ruess.  Marlene graduated from Bellevue High School in 1953, and worked as a clerk at Hogues.  

Marlene was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church while residing in Bellevue.  

On November 6, 1953 she married Gerald Schwartz, and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1995.  

Mrs. Schwartz is survived by two sons; Leon (Tina) Schwartz of Pinson, TN, Timothy (Ronne) Schwartz of Schriever, LA, one daughter, Karen Couture of Lakeland, FL, and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Schwartz of Nitro, WV.  Surviving siblings include Beverly (Joseph) Wott of Tiffin, Ruth Ann Myers of Boykins, VA, and James (Jeannette) Ruess of Tiffin.  

Along with her parents and husband, Marlene's son Stephen preceded her in death.  

Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.  Additional calling will be 10-11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church on Monday, January 14, 2019.  The funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue on Monday.  

Memorials may be made to St John's Preschool Scholarship Fund.
