Norma J. Wade, 85, died at her home, after a three year decline in health, on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
Norma was born in Bellevue on November 5, 1934 to the now deceased Frank and Thelma (Benfer) Ensign.
She was a member of the 1952 graduating class of the former Townsend High School.
A lifelong member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, she also belonged to the Ladies Group at the church, and had served as organist until recently.
On December 11, 1954, she married Commodore "Tony" Wade. He, along with their five children, Tom (Linda) Wade; Galen Wade; Michael Wade; Brian Wade and Amy (Kenneth) Lynch, all of Clyde survive. Nine grandchildren, Stephanie Wiedenheft; Melissa Brown; Leah Wade; Danielle Wade; Hannah Lynch; Nathan Lynch; Jesse Lynch; Joel Lynch and Abigail Eversman also survive. Norma's siblings Kathleen Jo (Darl) Burdett of Sebring, Florida; Ernest (Donna) Ensign of Sarasota, Florida; Jilin (Ron) Kenne and Bill (Jackie) Ensign, all of Clyde survive as well. Four great grandchildren also survive.
A Celebration of Norma's Life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:30 am at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Steve Engle officiating.
Memorials may be made to Mount Carmel UMC or to Stein Hospice.
