Richard L. Dinan, 68, of Clyde, died at The University of Toledo Medical Center, on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
Dick was born in Fremont on December 20, 1949 to Rollyn and Peggy (Stegman) DInan. He was a member of the 1968 graduating class of Clyde High School.
He had served in the Ohio National Guard. Also, he was a member of the Clyde VFW, American Legion and Moose. He was a former member of the Clyde Eagles.
Dick was a mechanic, he enjoyed working with machinery, retiring from Myers Construction.
Dick truly enjoyed car racing, attending the Fremont and Attica races whenever he could. He liked to hunt and fish and participate in tractor pulls. He was a follower of the Browns and Ohio State University football.
Survivors include five children, Rick Dinan of Columbus; Jeni Dinan and Jason Dinan, both of Clyde, Jeremiah (Stacie) Dinan of Germany and Dustin (Rachel) Dinan of Fremont. Seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. His parents, Rollie and Peg, along with his siblings, Gloria (Ronald) Quaintance of Clyde, Michael (Wendy) Dinan of Fremont and Thomas (Deborah) Dinan of Clyde also survive.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 10:00 am until Noon at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde. Graveside services will be at 12 :30 pm on Friday at Bakertown Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Fremont Speedway Museum.
