Ronald Jay Fritz, 61, of rural Clyde, died at his home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday March 20, 2019.
Ron was born in Fremont on July 26, 1957 to Jack and Dorothy (Gilbert) Fritz. He graduated from Vanguard in 1975.
He entered the US Navy on August 26, 1976, where he achieved the grade of SK3. He was honorably discharged on August 17, 1980.
Ron enjoyed working outdoors, tinkering with things that needed to be fixed and NASCAR. He was an animal lover, especially dogs, but he liked to watch birds as well. His family, but importantly, his grandchildren where his greatest joy.
He was a great 'jokester" with a wonderful sense of humor.
HIs children: Manda Burkett, Bellevue; Ronica (Jim) Zerman, Bellevue; Ronielle (Joseph) Kubat , Hubert, NC; CJ(Vikki) Fritz, Sandusky all survive. Seven grandchildren, one sister, Barbara (Ken) Noftz, Lakeside; brothers; Richard Fritz, Bellevue; Russell (Connie) Fritz, Clyde and Roger Fritz,Clyde.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack and mother, Dorothy (Gilbert) Kastor Fritz, along with two brothers, Randall Fritz and Robert Kastor.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will begin at 12:30 pm with Pastor Tim Holt officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, with military rites provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion at 1:00.
A time of remembrance and sharing will be at 2:00 pm at the Clyde VFW, where a funeral luncheon will take place.
