Alice P. (Krueger) Steed

Alice P. Steed, 97, of Bellevue, formerly of Medina, died Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Bellevue Care Center.

She was born September 18, 1924 in Sandusky to Arthur & Elsie (Eisenhauer) Krueger.  She graduated from Margaretta High School in 1942 and worked at Brown Industries in Sandusky. 

On August 17, 1947 she married Donald Steed at the Sand Hill Methodist Church in Sandusky.  Together they moved to Medina, Ohio and she worked at the Medina County Courthouse until her retirement.  Don preceded her in death, just days after their 63^rd wedding anniversary, August 21, 2010.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews: Kris (Cathy) Perry of Bradenton, Florida; Jeff Perry of Clyde; Brad (Lynn) Perry of Omaha, Nebraska; Cheryl Krueger of Columbus; Judy Boyer of Bellevue; Jim (Diane) Krueger of Naples, Florida; Harvey (Carolyn) Ziegler of Wildwood, Missouri; Jack (Brenda) Ziegler of Republic; David (Kelley) Ziegler of Clyde; numerous great nieces and nephews; and very special friends and neighbors from Medina.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Alice was preceded in death by her siblings: Eilene Perry, Viola Ziegler, and William Krueger; and her niece, Ginger Perry.

Private family graveside services were held at Sand Hill Cemetery, Sandusky.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:30pm Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.  A memorial service to celebrate Alice’s life will follow at the funeral home, at 2:30pm.
