Alla Mae Leedy Obituary
Alla Mae Leedy, 93, of Clyde, died Monday, July 26, 2021 at her home.
She was born October 19, 1927 in Jonesville, Lee County, Virginia, the daughter of Tillman and Roxie (Spurlock) Collins.
Alla Mae was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clyde. She had worked at Eaton in Fremont.
On March 7, 1945 she married Billy Leedy and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2010.
Survivors include their daughter, Carolyn (John) Rhodes of Clyde; grandchildren: Tanya (Greg) Kennedy of Painesville, Ohio; Jaime Handy of Berlin, Ohio; and Aaron (Sarah) Rhodes of Falls Church, Virginia; eleven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and her siblings: Eugene Collins, Daniel Collins, Freda Phipps, all of Clyde; and Homer Collins of Three Rivers, Michigan.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Alla Mae was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelyn (Robert) Webb; infant daughter, Linda Sue Leedy; grandson, Thomas New Year; and siblings: Cora Lee Collins; Gladys Mobley; Julie Kleinow; Martha Stewart; and Floyd Collins.
Visitation will be 3:00-6:00pm Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde. Her funeral service will be 11:00am Friday, July 30 at Calvary Baptist Church, 441 Duane St, Clyde. Pastor James Belcher and Pastor Junior Kerns will officiate and burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church in Clyde or to The Willows at Bellevue Activity Fund.
