Annabelle M. Tea, 97, of Clyde, died at Green Springs, Ohio on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
Annabelle was born on March 17, 1923 in Clyde to John and Edna (Kistler) Rogers.
She was a member of the 1941 graduating class of Clyde High School. After graduation, she worked at the former Philco for the war effort.
Mrs. Tea was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and sewing, but her favorite activity was being with babies. She was able to continue this joyful time with first, her thirty grandchildren, then 46 great grandchildren and finally her seven great-great grandchildren!
On January 11, 1944, she married Lloyd L. Tea. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2016.
Nine of their children survive; Barbara Meyer of Clyde; Linda Cook of Clyde; Steve Tea of Naples, Florida; Jane (Steve) Fultz of Clyde; Jim (Chris) Tea of Fremont; John (Ann) Tea of Naples, Florida; Dean Tea of Clyde; Ted (Jeannie) Tea of Clyde and Joy (Lou) Garcia of Green Springs. Her daughter-in-law, Judy Tea of Clyde survives along with twenty nine grandchildren.
Annabelle was preceded in death by a son, Roger Tea; a grandson, Trevor Tea and her brothers, Robert Rogers; Lester Rogers; Carl Rogers and Ray Rogers. A young sister, Margaret Rogers is also deceased, as well as her parents.
A walk through visitation, coming in the front door and exiting the back door, with masks and social distancing, will be on Monday, January 25, 2021, from 3-5:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Due to limited seating because of the pandemic, her funeral will be for immediate family only at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
Memorials may be made, if desired, may be made to Lutheran Social Services in Williston, Ohio.
