Barbara Pocock Obituary

Barbara L. Pocock. 84, of Bellevue, died at the Stein Hospice (Hospice of Western Reserve) Sandusky, on Saturday, February 10,2024.

Barb was born in Fremont on December 3, 1939 to the now deceased Gertrude (Bailey) and Erving "Huck" Berie.

She was a member of the 1957 graduating class of Clyde High School. She had worked at Miller's Grocery in Clyde, and several other businesses.

A member of Grace Lutheran Church in Castalia and the Clyde Eagles, Barb was active in Scouting, along with sewing, crocheting and cooking.

On February 20, 1960, she married Carl L. Pocock. He, along with their three children, Jeff (Lynne) Pocock of Bellevue, Linda Pocock of Bellevue and Mark (Anne) Pocock of Green Springs. Four grandchildren, Jennifer (Nick) Canale, Joshua (Angela) Pocock; Sarah (Anthony) Palumbo and Matthew Pocock also survive, as well as two great grandchildren, Giovanna and Theodore Canale. Two in-laws survive, Dale Whitt and Anne Murru, both of Sandusky, several nieces and nephews, too.

Mrs. Pocock was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Berie, Carol Whitt and Nancy Rectenwald. Also deceased are two nephews, Donald Ritter and Robin Berie, and a brother-in-law, Luchiano Murru.

A Celebration of Barb's life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 2-4:00 pm at the Clyde Eagles, where you may visit with the family.

Memorials, may be made, if desired to Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia, the Hospice of Western Reserve to the  Donor's Choice.
