Bertram W. Livingston, 86, of Fremont, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
Mr. Livingston was born in Savannah, Ohio on January 12,1936 to the now deceased Alma (Johnston) and Russell Livingston.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Park Ave, Fremont, Ohio. Mr. Livingston was also a member of the Republic Masonic Lodge, Zenobia Shrine and Sandusky American Legion.
In 1954, he graduated from Savannah High School. Then he served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. Following his honorable discharge, he attended The Ohio State University, graduating in 1960 with a BS in Agriculture.
Mr. Livingston taught at Wellington High School prior to being the Lorain County Extension Agent. Always excelling as a salesman, Bert finished his career at Schlessman Seeds.
On June 30, 1956, he married Lois Schlaufman. She, along with their two children, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Patzke of Ashley, Ohio and John (Cheryl) Livingston of Bellevue survive. Two grandchildren, Alaina (Tom) Lee and Robert Patzke, as well as a sister, Lucille (David) Jenkins of Huntsville, Ohio also survive.
Bert was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Woodburn.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 16,2022 from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, Fremont. The Rev. Dr. Julie Kling will officiate.
Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery on Tuesday, May 17,2022.
