Betty J. (Sanford) Bell

Betty J. Bell, 69, of Clyde, died unexpectedly at Bellevue Hospital on Monday, July 16, 2018.

Betty was born on July 21,1948 to John H. and Hazel (Riedell) Sanford.

She was a 1966 graduate of Clyde High School. She retired from the Bellevue Hospital as respiratory therapist. Prior to that she had worked as a therapist for 32 years.

Mrs. Bell was very active in St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was on the funeral luncheon committee, flower delivery to shut-ins. Also she participated in the Relay for Life and many other activities.

On June 10, 1978, she married Garry Bell. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2012.

Survivors include a daughter, Heidi Bell Minnick of Clyde; a son, Jeff (Pam) Bell of Jasper, Michigan and seven grandchildren, Beau, Quinn, Brock, and Bret Minnick Nick (Rachelle) Bell; Tony (Lindsey) Bell and Jon Bell. Five great grandchildren are also surviving.

Preceding her in death are a sister, Janet Hendricks and two brothers, Richard Sanford and William Sanford and half brothers, Harry Sanford.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 4-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at  11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Forest Street, Clyde.
