Betty Lou Gower, 90, formerly of Tiffin, died at The Willows in Bellevue on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
Betty was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on May 12, 1930 to the now deceased Kenneth B. and Edna A. (Rupp) Gartner.
She was a 1948 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Later, she received her Associates Degree.
On August 2, 1950, she married Robert E. Gower. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2004.
During their married life, they had lived is various places, Springville, Ohio; Yellow Springs; Goshen; Boliver; Indian Lakes and Bellevue, finally settling in Greenville, Ohio,
Survivors include a son, Bruce (Sonya) Gower of Clyde; a daughter, Linda Gower of Dunedin, Florida; daughter-in-law, Kathy Gower of Tiffin. Also five grandchildren, Matthew (Shannon) Gower; Melissa (Tyson) Woessner; Melanie (Rick) Sutter; Samantha (Petr Naurat) Gower and David (Shelbi) Gower, along with four great grandchildren, Anthony "TJ" Sutter; Izzac Woessner; Alexandria Woessner and Teagan Gower survive.
Betty was preceded in death by a son, Richard Gower and a grandson, Scott Woolsey.
Private services are being held at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, Ohio.
Memorials may be made, if desired, to Stein Hospice or a food pantry of your choice.
Burial will be in Abbottsville Cemetery.
