Biagio Fontana

Biagio Fontana, 60, of Clyde, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.

He was born June 17, 1960 in S. Agata di Militello, Sicily to Carmelo & Angela (Faraci) Fontana, who are now deceased.  In 1970 their family moved to the United States from Italy. Biagio attended ICS and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1979.   Being from a large, loving Sicilian family, Biagio learned to cook and serve others.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and cooking for others.  His passion led him to be a restaurateur, owning Biajo Fontana's Italian Eatery in Clyde for 28 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Fontana of Norwalk; granddaughter, Octavia Fontana; siblings: Maria (Calogero) Piscitello of Cleveland; Pina (Charlie) Cochey of Bellevue; Ben (Brenda) Fontana of Bellevue; Linda (Todd) Auvil of Lorain; nieces and nephews: Steve (Nicole) Piscitello; Chris (Lauren) Piscitello; Liz Piscitello; Tim Cochey; Jason (Lindsey) Cochey; Benny Fontana; Bridget Fontana; Bailee Fontana; Mckenzie Auvil; Dawson Auvil; Ross Auvil; Ryan Auvil; great nieces and nephews: Rocco; Luca; Charlie; Gianni; Easton; Olivia; Harrison; Griffin.

Services will be announced at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the family to be used as they wish.
