Carrie F. “Ween” White, 86, of Clyde, died at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 14,
2021.
She was born Oct. 26, 1934 to the now deceased Donald and Grace (Dick) Shoup.
She attended Clyde schools.
Mrs. White was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she married Don S.
White on Sept. 4, 1953. They had met while working at Philco, and then later they
owned and operated the former Don’s Carrie Out in Fremont. After retiring, they
spent 20 winters in Florida. Mr. White preceded her in death in 2009 after 56 years
of marriage.
One son survives, Ted (Rosa M.) White of Meridian, Texas, along with two sisters,
Sharon (Bob) Fry and Chris (Stan) Holmes, all of Clyde. Six grandchildren
survive, Michael S. White and Stephanie Lynn Kittelson, Jennifer Marietta and
Jason White, Rachelle White and Trina Pruitt, along with a stepgranddaughter,
Stacy Kanyuh. Ten great-grandchildren survive as well.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Tim White, Tod
White and Tom White, and sisters, Mary Burroughs and Susan Major.
Graveside services will be held at McPherson Cemetery in Clyde.
