Carter Lee Matney

Carter Lee Matney, 66, formerly of Clyde, more recently Eden Springs in Green Springs, Ohio, died at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on Saturday, February 29,2020.

Carter was born in Kentucky on April 10, 1953, the only child of Ralph L. and  Margielene (Ramey) Matney.

He graduated from Clyde High School- Vanguard in 1971. He had been self employed.

Survivors include his mother, Margielene in Fremont, two sons, Jonathan Lee (Erica) Matney of California; Jason Carter (Natalie) Matney of Columbus: two daughters, Sandi (Matthew) Brown and Jessica Leigh Matney all  of Gibsonburg. Seven grandchildren Fiona; Miles; Isabella; Maxwell; Hattie; Scarlett and Blakely, also survive.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 10:30 am until the service at noon at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
