Charlotte E. Vogel, 89, died at her son and daughter-in-law's home in Green Springs, where she had been living, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
Mrs. Vogel was born in Upper Sandusky on March 17, 1932 to the now deceased Catherine C. (Schleif) and David Roy Amert.
She was a 1950 graduate of Shelby High School.
For many years, she had worked at Whirlpool Corp and the the Whirlpool Credit Union in the offices.
Charlotte liked to read, crochet, most crafts, putting puzzles together and playing cards however, her greatest joys and pleasures were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the light and love of her life.
On January 10, 1951, she married Edward D. Vogel. He survives, along with their son, Steven (Wendy) Vogel of Green Springs and daughter, Cathy (Jeff) Phillips of Keller Texas. Four grandchildren, Arica (Seth); Amber (Josh); Jenny and Zac, as well as four great grandchildren, Liam, Ellie; Lincoln and Everleigh survive. One brother, David Amert and one sister, Pauline Brooks both of Clyde survive as well.
Mrs. Vogel was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julie; two young siblings; two brothers, Elbert Amert and Edward Amert and two sisters, Dorothy Belsterli and Omi Pasheilich.
Family services will be held at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde. Private family burial will be at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Ohio.
