Too beautiful for earth, Chelsey Carter-Dick 37, of Clyde, gained her angel wings following a long courageous battle with cancer. On Sunday December 5, 2021. Surrounded by her family and best friends. Chelsey was born July 16, 1984, in Tiffin, Ohio to Carol Carter and Paul Shaffer. She is a 2002 Bellevue graduate.
Chelsey was very known for her Scentsy business, it was a huge part of her life until the very end.
Chelsey loved to travel and see the world. She has seen more in her short life than most could in a 100 years. She also loved watching her boys play sports and to root on her Cleveland sports teams. Chelsey volunteered numerous years with the Clyde little league and Flier youth sports.
She liked to spend time with her friends, throwing darts, playing cards and was always planning a girls trip.
Chelsey is survived by her 2 sons, Mason & Blake Gurney. Her parents Carol Carter and Robert Hoerig, and Paul Shaffer. siblings : Coreen (Zach) Moss, Matt Hoerig, Mike Hoerig, Brock (Heidi) Shaffer, Aaron Shaffer, Zack Shaffer. Best friends: Shawnelle Turner, Jessica Hartshorn, Liz Wieczorek.
She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Gaylord & LaVonne Miller, Roy & Betty Shaffer and great grandmother Lela Fultz.
Friends and family are invited for visitation Monday, December 13,2021 from 1-3pm and 5-7. Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home 218 S Main St, Clyde, OH 43410
Please dress casual, including sports and Clyde Fliers gear as this was Chelsey's wish.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made at Old Fort Bank in care of Carol Carter, for Mason and Blake.
